Theory Training:

We can assist or advise you in the necessary elements required to pass the theory test for cars.   This may include a one to one session on a computer in order to train for the ‘Hazard Perception’ element of the test if required.   One to one training is carried out on Monday and Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at our Office, both in theory and hazard perception.   There is a nominal fee for this service.  Contact our Office for details.  (T: 01450 379090).

Learner Drivers:

We will teach learner drivers of all ages from 16 years* upwards.   There is no upper age limit to learning to drive.   All that is required is that you are in possession of a valid provisional licence at the time of your first lesson and that you can pass the minimum eyesight requirements.

*16 year olds require being in receipt of full disability living allowance to qualify for a provisional licence.   Otherwise the minimum age limit is 17 years of age.

Deaf or hard of hearing?  We can still teach you the necessary skills to pass a test.  Communication in British Sign Language is possible.

Refresher Training:

For those who have a full licence but, for whatever reason, have not driven for a while, we can provide a course of refresher training in order to regain your confidence.   Refresher training can also be provided for drivers who have been disqualified until test pass, by a Court of Law.

Pass Plus:

If you have passed your driving test within the past 12 months and are now thinking of buying your own car, (instead of borrowing dad’s), then why not undertake a ‘Pass Plus’ course.   We can train and assess you in the necessary further training required to obtain the ‘Pass Plus’ certificate.  

The main benefit, apart from being a safer driver, is that most Insurance Companies now offer an introductory discount for holders of the ‘Pass Plus’ certificate.   (Typically around 30% - 35% discount, but contact the Insurance Companies for accurate figures).

Advanced driving:

Whether you have had your license more than one year and therefore not eligible for ‘Pass Plus’, or whether you simply want to become a better and safer driver, we can train you to the required standards for the various Organisations which provide ‘Advanced Driving’ certificates.   We cannot test you; applications should be made direct to the Organisation concerned for tests.
